Booking for our November Interlend 2025 event is now open! This is an in-person event taking place at the British Library, St.Pancras, Friday 14th November 10:30-16:00 (Please note AGM will take place 10:30-11:00 followed by optional tour of the British Library, talks begin at 12:30).

Light refreshments with be provided and there are catering options on site and nearby to purchase food – Eat, drink and shop at the British Library

Following on from the very enjoyable FIL Online event we held in the Summer, we are pleased to announce that our next event is to be held in person at The British Library in London on 14 November. Booking information and a draft programme will be sent out nearer the time but timings will be 11-4 to include a tour of the BL and light refreshments.

We’re always on the lookout for speakers and interesting topics for these events, so if there’s anything you’d like to share please do consider delivering a session.  Your presentation can be on any topic and can be either:

  • A llightening talk- usually brief overviews which are 10-15 minutes long. Ideal for first time presenters.
  • A full presentation- typically 30-40 minutes long.

If you would like the opportunity to present a session at the event, then please email  Amanda Foster with a short outline of your idea.

The next FIL event will be held online on Wednesday 12th February 2025. Details of how to book will be sent out nearer the time.

In order to make the program relevant we would like to give you the opportunity to present on topics that matter to you. Topics you might like to consider are:

  • Obtaining Copyright cleared requests- how are you meeting this challenge?.
  • Trends in ILL Demand: How has ILL changed in your library?
  • Different Perspectives on an ILL service: We are really interested in hearing from different library services and how ILL works in different sectors. Whether you work in a public, NHS, academic, museum, prison or other specialist library why not take this opportunity to showcase the work you do.
  • The savings challenge- have you made any changes? Is this impacting your service?
  • Workflows and new technology– do you have anything to share?
Your presentation can be on any topic. It can be either a
